IT’S the Sinulog weekend and things are heating up with so many activities to do and events to be a part of. If you’re planning on joining in on the fun, you might as well look the part. Strut your stuff on the streets but keep in mind some basic outfit tips that are practical yet still have that fashionable vibe for the festivities.
Plain tee
Go for more lighter shades. There’s nothing wrong with the darker ones but since the streets will be cramped, think of how hot it’ll be. If you want to layer some clothes out, make sure the fabrics are breathable and the colors don’t clash. A tank top underneath a loose button up shirt is a cute option, for instance. When it gets too hot, just tie your shirt around the waist. Whatever outfit you decide, comfort, apart from it being fashionable, is important.
Comfy shoes
There’s going to be a lot of walking around, considering the point of going out is to join in on the festivities. Wear shoes you’re not afraid to mess up. Something that’s both worn in but not too old that you’ll be going home barefoot. So if you’re confident that those gorgeous heels you’re used to won’t tire you out after all that walking, then by all means, work it!

Apart from the basic items to have like some water, a cap, an umbrella or emergency cash, extra clothes matter because you never know what the weather might be and you never know where you’ll be headed next. Make time and give it some thought. If you’ve planned your day, then you’ll have an idea what to wear. But if you’re more of the spontaneous type, think long and hard on what you’re most confident wearing.

There are a lot of options to pick out: a headdress, some feathery or sparkly accessories for your arms and, of course, a bedazzled shirt or sparkly pair of sneakers. There are a lot of options.
