P629,000 in shabu seized in Bacolod

THE Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA)-Negros Occidental and the police in Bacolod City seized an estimated P629,000 worth of drugs in four separate drug busts in the city from Wednesday and Thursday, January 16 to 17.

On January 16, high-value target Wendyl Arcenio Satur and a minor were arrested in Barangay 2. Confiscated from them were 12 sachets of "shabu" (methamphetamine hydrochloride) weighing 50 grams worth P340,000.

The following day, Ronis Algaroba and Noel Jason were collared in Barangay 1 after police seized from them 33 sachets of "shabu" weighing 20 grams and amounting to P240,000, P1,000 marked money, a caliber .38 revolver, and a caliber .22 revolver.

Both suspects are detained at Police Station 2.

Also arrested on January 17 were Ferdinand Camento, 40, a high-value target and drug surrenderer; and Rolly Bordan, 28, newly-identified street-level target, both residents of Barangay Singcang-Airport.

Police confiscated from them four sachets of "shabu" weighing 2.85 grams worth P40,000, and P450, including the marked money.

The two suspects are detained at Police Station 8.

Another high-value target and drug surrenderer was arrested on Thursday in Barangay 32.

Police identified the suspect as Jomer Jundos, a fourth top drug personality under the drugs watchlist of Police Station 1.

Jundos allegedly yielded seven sachets of "shabu" worth P9,000, drug paraphernalia, and the P200 marked money.
