NICOLE Yance Borromeo, representing Carcar City, was crowned Sinulog Festival Queen 2019, besting 15 candidates from different barangays and cities in Cebu, as well as one from Surigao del Norte.
The coronation night was held Friday, January 18, at the Cebu City Sports Complex.
Borromeo, 18, swept the competition not just by winning the title but also by taking home most of awards that night, including “Miss AppleOne Sinulog Festival Queen 2019,” “Miss Coca-Cola Taste the Feeling,” “Miss Skygo 2019,” “Miss Novellino Sinulog 2019,” “Miss Shell Advance,” “Miss Sky 2019,” “Miss Casino Ethyl Alcohol," “Miss Sun,” “Best in Production Presentation” (also won together with her contingent), “Best in Group Presentation,” “Best In Festival Costume” and “Best Solo Performer.”
The designers of her costume, Orville Biongco and Brianna Alexis Gomez, were awarded for "Best Design Festival Costume."
Completing her court are first runner-up Ciairha Jenyne M. Monsanto representing Tribu Malipayon from the Municipality of Consolacion; second runner-up Phoebe T. Godinez from the Talisay City Division; third runner-up Sapphire Doble Garton from Tribu Kandaya, Daanbantayan; and fourth runner-up Chloe Boton Boone from Tribu Higaonon sa San Nicolas Proper, Barangay San Nicolas Proper.
Borromeo will participate during the Grand Parade and Final Performance on Sunday, January 20.
She will also represent Cebu for Eat Bulaga's Miss Millennial pageant.
