Zamboanga village receives P25-M projects

SAN Roque, a village in Zamboanga City’s west coast, recently received some P25 million worth of infrastructure projects from the city government.

Mayor Maria Isabelle Climaco-Salazar said the construction of the projects is in line with her promise to continue to work hard to bring government closer to the people “so that no community will be left behind.”

The projects included the following: P2.963 million rehabilitated and improved health center; P5.793 million newly-constructed covered court; P6.661 million roasting facilities at the slaughterhouse; and, P9.629 million open stage with bleacher at the back of the Don Pablo Lorenzo Memorial High School (DPLMHS) gymnasium – all in the village of San Roque.

“These projects will benefit not only residents of San Roque but also residents of San Jose Gusu and Sta. Maria because really, this is a labor of love to support the development of security, health and education (SHE) of the constituents,” Salazar said.

The projects were turned over by Salazar on Wednesday to the village council of San Roque

“For the past six years, we've worked hard to bring government closer to the people. No community left behind,” Salazar said. (Bong Garcia/SunStar Philippines)
