AN ALLEGED member of the Abu Sayyaf Group (ASG) was arrested in the island province of Sulu, the police said Saturday, January 19.
The Sulu Provincial Police Office identified the arrested ASG member as Sabor Hayudini alyas Sugo, a resident of Kajatian village, Indanan, Sulu.
The police said that Hayudini, who was allegedly involved in kidnappings in Zamboanga Peninsula, was arrested in a manhunt operation around 1 a.m. Thursday in Kajatian, Indanan.
The victims are being brought to the hinterlands of Sulu where they were kept until release.
The police said recovered from his possession a rifle, a pistol, two fragmentation grenades and a sachet of suspected shabu.
