“(The City Council decided and passed a resolution condemning the series of killings in Igacos),” Igacos vice mayor Orly Amit said during Davao Media Forum Saturday, January 19.

Amit added the resolution was passed since the killings during daylight have become rampant.

He said that after the three killers withdrew from the location of incident, the killers also made commotion in the gym and shot someone at the feet and they also shot a customer of a store.

He added that the council also passed a resolution requesting the agencies from the Philippine National Police and National Bureau of Invrestigation to investigate the series of killings in their city.

“I trust our government agencies to come up with a finding,” he said.

He added they hoping the case will be solved since the authorities identified the suspect and filed a case.

Amit said that the series of killings remain unsolved.

“Dili siya maayo nga imahe kay we are selling Samal as a tourism area (It's not a good image, we are promoting Samal as tourism destination),” he said.
