IN LESS than two months upon assumption to office, Police Chief Superintendent Joel Napoleon Coronel was confirmed as director of the Police Regional Office III (PRO)-Central Luzon following his appointment as acting regional director.
Coronel has been a conducting series of command visits at the different provincial and city police offices of Region III.
The PRO-Central Luzon director personally supervised the launching of the simultaneous PNP-Comelec checkpoint operations across the region during the start of the election period on midnight of January 13 where four violators were apprehended while two died in shootouts with authorities and five firearms were confiscated.
“I believe we can accomplish our mission to keep Region III safe and peaceful at all times,” Coronel said. (PR)
