Dole-Nueva Ecija transfers office to Palayan City Business Hub

PALAYAN CITY, Nueva Ecija -- The Department of Labor and Employment (Dole)-Nueva Ecija transferred to a new office facility to provide better services to its clients.

The labor agency’s new office is located at the Second Floor Government Building, Palayan City Business Hub (PCBH), Barangay Singalat, Palayan City, Nueva Ecija.

Dole Regional Director Zenaida Angara-Campita reported the good news to Labor Secretary Silvestre Bello III that the Dole’s new field office is free of charge.

“We are very fortunate that the PCBH management has given us an adequate office space, furniture, and fixture at no cost at all for the Department. This new office enables us to further improve the delivery of our programs and services,” Campita said.

“Our only expense would be on electricity, water, and a few more office equipment, which are very necessary for our day to day operations,” she added.

The 250-square meter office space enables the labor agency to provide its services for soon-to-open locators engaging in business processing outsourcing that would generate around 13,000 jobs.

Clients from these locators will be able to avail of the labor agency’s services particularly labor advisories, requests for assistance, mediation services, and facilitation to employment and welfare assistances.

It will also be able to serve other locators, government offices, hotels and restaurants, and educational institutions that will soon be housed in the PCBH and nearby areas.

The DOLE field office joins the rest of the allied agencies at the One Stop Shop Center for OFWs (OSSCO) housed in the PCBH.

Other Dole attached agencies in the OSSCO include the Philippine Overseas Employment Administration (POEA), Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA), and Professional Regulations Commission (PRC).

Also in the OSSCO are agencies providing pre-employment requirements such as the Philippine Statistics authority (PSA), National Bureau of Investigation (NBI), and Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA).

Meanwhile, social services such as the Social Security System (SSS), Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth), and Home Mutual Development Fund (HMDF or Pag-Ibig) are also holding office there.

Lastly, the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) and Tourism Infrastructure and Enterprise Zone Authority (TIEZA) are also offering their services at the OSSCO.

With the Dole Nueva Ecija Field Office now operating at the OSCCO-PCBH, clients are assured of the speedy delivery of DOLE interventions within the new economic zone.

The field office is supervised by Chief Labor and Employment Officer Maylene Evangelista and could be reached through its mobile numbers 0917-554-7669 (Globe) and (0925) 815-0224 (Sun). (PR)
