Liberal adopts local bets in Iloilo

THE Liberal Party (LP) of Senator Benigno Aquino III has adopted as guest candidates some local politicians running in different positions in the Iloilo City Council.

In a forum held Friday night at Tatoy’s Manokan in Iloilo City, LP chairman Franklin Drilon formalized the adoption of six candidates running under the tickets of Pwersa ng Masang Pilipino (PMP), People’s Reform Party (PRP) and Bayan, respectively.

Running under the PMP ticket are City Councilor Julienne Baronda, Rodel Fullon Agado, Erlinda Liberiaga, and Plaridel Nava. Baronda is seeking the vice mayoral post.

Former city councilor Joshua Alim of PRP and Jory Porquia of Bayan are also adopted as guest candidates of LP.

LP’s official candidates for city councilor are incumbent City Councilors Nielex Tupas and Lyndon Acap and lawyer RLeone Gerochi.

Earlier, LP named incumbent Vice Mayor Jed Patrick Mabilog as its mayoral candidate in the May 10 general elections.

The LP headed by Aquino and his running mate Manuel Roxas II had its campaign sorties over the weekend in Iloilo City.
