The Davao City Overland Transport Terminal (DCOTT) proposed several projects to aid in the influx of passengers in the terminal.

"If possible ma-rehabilitate nato ang Dcott considering naa ta sa heart of the city and isa pud ni siya ka tourist destination (If possible the Dcott will be rehabilitated considering the terminal is located at the heart of the city and one of the tourist destinations in the city)," Dcott head Aisa Usop said in an interview with Sunstar Davao Tuesday, January 22.

Usop added that one of her proposals to the board was the additional construction of bus bays in the terminal.

"Nagkadaghan ang number of buses nato, mura’g nagkulang na pud ang bays nato (The number of buses increased but the bays remain the same)," she said.

Meanwhile, Usop said she also proposed practices in Metro Manila terminals to also be applied at Dcott such as the advanced booking for passengers and for bus companies to know how many buses they should deploy each day.

However, she said the proposals will still be endorsed to the Davao City Transport Terminal Board for recommendations.
