THE Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency in Davao (PDEA 11) has urged parents and children to be vigilant against the candy-like drug "Strawberry Quick".

"(Bantayan) lang gyud nato ang atong mga anak labina kay naa ra dira sa eskwelahan dapat vigilant gyud ta (Let’s look after our children especially that they are in school most of the time, we should be vigilant),” PDEA 11 information officer Noli Nephi Dimaandal said in a phone interview with Sunstar Davao Thursday, January 24.

Dimaandal also urged the public to report illegal activities to their office or contact their hotline if they witness any.

He added that most of the drugs apprehended by their office in Davao Region are only shabu and marijuana.

Dimaandal said they have not received any reports about “Strawberry Quick”.

He said, however, that their office is not setting aside the messages or reports that they have received about this drug.

They are also conducting investigation on information that reached their office.

“Strawberry Quick” is the new type of crystal meth that resembles Strawberry Pop Rock, which sizzles and pops in the mouth and also smells like Strawberry.
