Bautista: Feeding the program

KIND hearted organizations from all over have made it a point to help those in need. If there was something most would do, it was to feed them. The departments of health and education have made it a priority to eliminate if possible malnutrition especially in public schools, the elementary students if possible.

Data have shown that it is this particular level where malnutrition is very prevalent. It is so that NGOs are asked to take the lead and with kind hearts, share what can be to these children.

Feeding those in need is no easy task. Many would like to do so but believe me when I say that it is not just a one-time thing. It must be a whole program, one that is continuous and would go on for some time.

It must be understood that when Juan would like to do a feeding program they also have to feed the program. It must be a whole manifestation of commitment to make the program realizable.

A one-time thing for feeding will not do. It must be given some follow up to showcase that there is a commitment to help the children. The program has to be one that will continue on for a time.

I was witness to a feeding program by the University of Baguio through the family led foundation named after my Lolo Tatay and Lola Nanay, the Fernando Rosa Bautista FRB Foundation.

The family foundation has for some time continued on with the legacy of my Lolo and Lola to help out public schools because of the kids. My dad and uncles were all schooled from the public school system. Me too.

I went to school in Special Education Center known as SPED Center here in Baguio. I was probably one of the first students to graduate from it.

Of course, SPED Center has always been close to our hearts. My brother and sisters also went to this same school. We always make it a point for the foundation to help out with SPED. Another favorite is Baguio Central School where all our Dads went to.

Feeding any Program is essential to showing real care and concern for the children and the institution. By continuing to do so, the school and the teachers will really be able to understand that there is “real” and “genuine” commitment to help.

I am equally elated to see many others doing the same today. Hopefully not just because it is nearing an election and just to showcase and advance “juan self”. Still I will be thankful for those who do so for whatever reasons they may have. As long as the kids are given such blessings. It's the thought that counts. Sharing is Caring.

This is still and will always be a better gesture by those who would wish to share their blessings too. Feeding any program is always important. As to how may Juan help? There is just so many programs available. Our public schools need all the help they can get.

It was the other way around with Happy Hollow Elementary School, apparently they now decline any help since there is just so much for them to handle today. Still there are many more that may need all the help.

In Irisan Elementary School which I just visited recently they will not decline any help. They may need all the help that they can get.

Unfortunate for them too is that they are just beside the closed dumpsite of the city. Juan can imagine how things are there for the kids. Glad to know that I may have closed it already. Just so you know. Glad that they appreciate it too.

It is never too late to feed any program. Just ask any school and approach the head teacher or the PTA and surely Juan will be able to see what and how may Juan help.

In the end what is important is that blessings shared will benefit a whole lot. Remember too that anything offered for the kids will definitely be appreciated.

Funny but for some they will assume that by helping the kids it will just go to waste since they are not voters. Well, in all my life I have always made it a point to help the children. Remember they have parents too and families who see what is going on.

So there you go, feed the children by Feeding the Program.
