MALACAÑANG was elated by the latest Social Weather Stations' (SWS) survey which showed that President Rodrigo Duterte's Cabinet registered a "good" score in the October to December 2018 period.
Presidential Spokesperson Salvador Panelo acknowledged that the satisfaction score of "good" +35 earned by the Cabinet was the "highest rating for the Chief Executive’s official family for the year 2018."
He added that the poll results gave the Cabinet members an inspiration to "work harder" in fulfilling the President's vow to provide comfortable life to the Filipino people.
"The Palace is pleased to note that the latest Social Weather Stations survey showed that the people gave a 'good' satisfaction rating to President Rodrigo Roa Duterte’s Cabinet at +35 in December 2018," he said in a statement issued Friday night, January 25.
"The satisfactory rating given to the President’s Cabinet certainly is a source of inspiration for us to work harder to give full realisation to the commitment of [Duterte] providing comfortable life to the Filipinos," the Palace official added.
Public satisfaction with Duterte's Cabinet stayer "good" but improved by three points to +35 from September 2018's +35, according to SWS poll conducted on December 16 to 19.
The Cabinet officials' net satisfaction rating was the highest since "good" +38 recorded in December 2017, SWS noted.
Panelo said the Cabinet will strive hard in Duterte's three years to achieve the Chief Executive's "desired changes" in the country.
"Complacency has no room in the remaining three and a half years of the Administration as we marshal all our energies and talents in assisting the President give fruition to his single-minded goal of bringing about the desired changes in our society," he said.
"Once again, we urge our countrymen of whatever political strife and religious belief to set aside our differences and create a chain of harmony and peace that will propel our nation to development and progress. Let us be each brother’s keeper and let love reign amongst us," he added. (SunStar Philipppines)
