“Any clothing item that imbues good memories could be your lucky charm,” said the young Davao designer who has extensively showcased creative work in SM Lanang Premier—from fashion shows to pop-up stores and Philippine Independence Day centerpieces.
“Anything that incites joy is a good lucky charm,” he added.
His fashion tip: put on clothes associated with awesome experiences: “It could be anything from- a ring from your mother that is a family heirloom, to the blazer you wore on that successful interview for your dream job, or that black dress you wore on your first date.”
2. Love local
Renowned Davao artist Maan Chua shares a handy tip when adding an accessory to complete your ensemble.
“I like the color red and similar warm hues because they always bring life to any outfit. Explore statement accessories like dangling earrings with tassels, silver or brass, or colorful beads,” she said. “They add a local flair to structured outfits.”
Chua is the winner of the first Habi Kadayawan fashion accessories design competition held in SM Lanang Premier in 2017.
