THE University of the Visayas (UV) High School Alumni Batch 1979 will hold a grand alumni homecoming on Feb. 9 and 10.
The two-day event is in line with the alumni’s 40th (ruby) anniversary this year.
It will focus on welcoming the balikbayan batchmates and guests, as well as those who are living in other provinces in the Philippines.
The homecoming will give all alumni the chance to reconnect and rekindle the old friendship with their former classmates.
A dinner party on Feb. 9 will welcome the alumni at the Glass House of Montebello Villa Hotel in Barangay Banilad, Cebu City.
All alumni are advised to wear long dress for females and long sleeves and slacks or coat and tie for males. Guests, including family and friends, can wear cocktail dress or formal attire.
The fun will continue on Feb. 10 at a beach in Lapu-Lapu City. It will be either a beach party or an island hopping spree, or both.
The event carries the theme, “Defying Time and Distance.” It highlights the alumni’s desire to reconnect with their high school classmates and friends who have not seen each other in the last four decades.
The homecoming will erase the distance for those who explored other countries or other provinces outside Cebu to look for better opportunities in life.
Lots of fun and surprises await the alumni who will join the event.
