Garbo: ‘Job order employees started receiving salaries’

JOB order employees of the Mabalacat City government have started receiving their salaries for the month of January this year.

This was learned from Mayor Crisostomo Garbo after the Sangguniang Panlungsod approved the city's budget for 2019 amounting to P1.7 billion.

Garbo at the same time made an assurance that the city government's programs on health, scholarship, burial assistance, peace and order, livelihood and others will continue following the budget approval.

Job order employees of the local government failed to receive their compensation for the months of November and December last year.

Garbo blamed the city council for the problem saying it disapproved the supplemental budget intended for the job order employees.

Vice-Mayor Christian Halili however said that the city council already approved a supplemental budget last September to pay for the job orders' compensation.

The mayor said the job order employees will no longer receive their salaries for the remaining months of 2018.

"Our job order employees understand the situation," Garbo said in the vernacular.
