Batwoman soon on television

THE character of Kate Kane, best known for her vigilante name Batwoman, will be having her own show and it is already in the works at The CW network.

This is after her first appearance on Elseworlds, the fifth annual crossover of the Arrowverse in December 2018.

Kate Kane will be brought to life by Ruby Rose, who played Stella Carlin in the Netflix series “Orange Is The New Black.”

Batwoman will be written by The Vampire Diaries writer, Caroline Dries, who will also be the executive producer of the show together with Greg Berlanti, Sarah Schechter, and Geoff Johns.

David Nutter will direct the pilot of Batwoman.

Nutter is known for directing the pilot of the first two CW DCTV shows, The Arrow and The Flash. He is also known for directing iconic episodes of the famous HBO fantasy drama series, Game of Thrones.

Joining Rose on the pilot episode are Meagan Tandy of Teen Wolf, Camrus Johnson of Luke Cage, and Nicole Kang.

The official release date of Batwoman will soon be announced by The CW. (Von Daniel R. Plasencia, USC Intern)
