Quarry collection likely to hit P3B

THE Provincial Government of Pampanga's overall quarry revenues may soon reach P3 billion before the end of Governor Lilia Pineda’s gubernatorial term this June based from the records of the Provincial Government Environment and Natural Resources Office (PGENRO).

At present, collections already reached P2,854,727,744.79.

These figures include the province's quarry collection, weighing scale fees, accreditation of motor vehicle fees, and fees from gravel and sand permits.

The province's quarry collections is at P2,649,285,000. This collection is from July 2010 until December 2018 last year. The current collection for the whole of 2018 is at P320,520,000. The collection for the month of December alone is at P15,120,000.

The biggest collection was in 2014 when quarry revenues reached P343,160,000 and 2017 with collections reaching P375,040,000.

PGENRO chief Art Punsalan said that they are now doubling efforts to make sure that the monitoring of quarry operations here proceed as planned. He said that more provincial government funds would translate to more development and social programs for the province.

Punsalan said that weighing scale fees are now at P150,435,000 while accreditation of motor vehicles is at P40,627,955.
