Titans’ popularity continues to grow

THE superhero web television series Titans season 1 of the DC Universe continues to garner more viewership, boosting its popularity.

The data science company, Parrot Analytics, reported that the initial viewership rating of the said series grew over a factor of 30 since its release on October 12, 2018.

By popularity scale, Titans is currently ahead of other shows like Jessica Jones season 2, Legion season 2, and Black Lightning season 2.

To obtain this figure, Parrot analyzed metrics including social media buzz, global file-sharing and peer-to-peer activity.

One of the fans, Melwin Mathew said: “Wow, OMG, keep it coming, keep it coming, this is the second best show for me, horror, action, love, thriller, you've got it all. So proud to be a DC fan, DC FOREVER. Awesome stuff, I can't wait for the next episode.”

A certain Edward Martens said, “Great episode, which started slow but became everything it should and made me realize that returning and facing what been stolen and changed a life has to be done if one want to really go forward. Happened to me because I didn't see that money corrupts even ones close and spoiled by me. Can't wait till the next episode.”

After receiving positive comments from fans and even non-fans of the DC comics, the live-action comic adaptation Titans and Young Justice: Outsiders was said to have become a success for the DC Universe.

This positive response was said to have provided hope for other comic characters to receive its original series and land on the small screen.

Meanwhile, Titans season 2 is rumored to start its principal photography in February, which could help boost the show's popularity. (Von Daniel R. Plasencia, USC intern)
