RE-ELECTED Davao City Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Inc. (DCCCII) president Arturo Milan will be pushing for more investment and business promotions for Davao City’s micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) as part of his programs this year.

“This year, we will intensify the services we offer to Davao Chamber members. We will deliver more assistance in terms of growing your business most especially the MSMEs,” Milan said on Tuesday, January 30, during his inaugural address at DCCCII’s 51st Annual Installation of Officers and Board of Trustees at Marco Polo Hotel, Davao City.

“We hope to offer more trainings and seminars in significant areas. Together with the officers, we will conduct regular consultations on issues concerning their industries. In addition, we plan to hold more business to business matching sessions for those who are looking for partners here and abroad,” Milan added.

DCCCII vice president John Carlo Tria, for his part, underscored the importance of the Davao Agri-Trade Expo in helping conditions of small agricultural entrepreneurs in having a venue for developing their business in the agricultural sector.

Tria said it is by converging entrepreneurs and their cooperation in Davao Region that economic progress is achieved.

Meanwhile, Milan also said during his term he will strengthen the business advocacy of the Chamber on investments in tourism.

“This includes fast-tracking the modernization of our Airport Terminals and of Sasa Port, monitor the construction of the Davao by-pass and coastal roads and supporting our transition to a better means of public transportation,” Milan said.
