Shadowhunters now on its final season

FOLLOWING a nine-month hiatus, Freeform's Shadowhunters comes back for its third and final season after dropping a trailer last Thursday, January 31.

Shadowhunters is a supernatural television series based on the books of Cassandra Clare, The Mortal Instruments, which first premiered on January 12, 2016 on Freeform.

The show tells the story of Clary who, after discovering her heritage as a Shadowhunter [half human, half angel], transcends into the life of a demon hunting along with her fellow Shadowhunters Jace, Izzy, and Alec, and her geeky vampire friend Simon.

After Clary's apparent death on the first-half of the show's third season, the story resumes to Clary meeting her brother Jonathan in hell who tries to convince her to join the dark side.

On the season 3B trailer, she is shown with pitch-black eyes, most likely to be demon eyes, which could mean that Jonathan convinced her after all.

Moreover, the said trailer shows glimpse of moments for the fan-favorite queer couple “Malec,” the love team of Alec and the Warlock Magnus Bane, and steamy moments for Clary and Jace.

The most-awaited kiss of Simon and Izzy has finally come, as well.

Lastly, an enigmatic wedding scene following a devastated Clary has left fans confused.

A lot of questions will surely be answered when Shadowhunters 3B resumes on February 25. (Von Daniel R. Plasencia, USC intern)
