‘Eat Bulaga’ signs anew with GMA Network

TAPE Inc. and GMA Network officially sealed the renewal of their blocktime agreement for the airing of hit noontime show, “Eat Bulaga,” in a contract signing held Feb. 1.

“It’s our 24th year with GMA,” said TAPE Inc. president and chief executive officer Antonio P. Tuviera. “We’re thankful to GMA for giving us a home. And not just that, but also the opportunity to celebrate our 40th anniversary this year.”

GMA chairman and chief executive officer, lawyer Felipe L. Gozon, expressed his admiration for the show and its hosts, “I really admire the group of ‘Eat Bulaga’ that has retained its charm through the years; it still has a long way to go.”

Meanwhile, GMA executive vice president and chief financial officer Felipe S. Yalong is happy for Eat Bulaga’s continued success. “We’re happy because ‘Eat Bulaga’ signed up with us again. It’s an exciting show. It’s the longest continuous running show in the world with the original hosts, Tito, Vic and Joey. We’re very happy that they continue to be with the Kapuso network,” he shared. (PR)
