13 nabbed for drugs in Negros Occidental

THIRTEEN persons were arrested in separate anti-illegal drug operations in six areas in Negros Occidental and Bacolod City since February 1 to 3.

Benjoe San Jose, 20, of Barangay 2, Bacolod City was arrested on Sunday, February 3, after he was reported for illegal possession of a deadly weapon in Barangay 6.

Police recovered from him a sachet of suspected shabu (methamphetamine hydrochloride), eight-inch bladed weapon, and coin purse.

He is detained at Police Station 2.

Also arrested in Barangay Banago, Bacolod City in a buy-bust operation on Saturday, February 2, were Manuel Bregabriel and Sharton Tenio.

Confiscated from the suspects were five sachets of suspected shabu, P1,060 in cash, including the marked money.

Both suspects are detained at Police Station 3.

In Murcia town, Edgar Mallorca, 40, of Barangay Salvacion was arrested on the same day after he was allegedly caught engaging in the illegal drug trade.

Police seized from him two sachets of suspected shabu, the P300 marked money, cellular phone, wallet, motorcycle, and P2,800 in cash.

In San Carlos City, high-value target John Mark Iligan, 24, of Barangay 6 was arrested in a drug bust on Saturday in Barangay 5 which resulted to the recovery of four sachets of suspected shabu worth P24,000, the P500 marked money, and drug paraphernalia.

On February 1, Mark John Cruz, 31, of Barangay 8 was arrested in Barangay Singcang-Airport, after police seized from him three sachets of suspected shabu, drug paraphernalia, and the P200 marked money.

He is detained at Police Station 8.

Arrested on the same day in Barangay Villamonte were Robert Chon Oparil and John Paul Cordero who both allegedly yielded 13 sachets of suspected shabu, drug paraphernalia, a 12-gauge shotgun loaded with four live ammunition, and P1,000 in cash, including the marked money.

The suspects are detained at Police Station 4.

In Kabankalan City, Alvin Erillo, 28, high-value target; Ronnie Besillas Jr., 20, newly-identified drug personality, both residents of Barangay Binicuil were collared in the said village which resulted to the recovery of five sachets of suspected shabu worth P15,000, a plastic sachet of suspected dried marijuana leaves, the P500 marked money, motorcycle, and P2,580 in cash.

In Sagay City, Rosue Ofqueria, 30, of Barangay Fabrica, newly-identified drug personality, was arrested in the said village on February 1, after police confiscated from him a sachet of suspected shabu and the P500 marked money.

In Cadiz City, Jecel Quiatchon, 38, high-value target, and Warbin Garcia, 29, both residents of Barangay Tiglawigan were arrested in the said village on the same day which resulted to the confiscation of four sachets of suspected shabu worth P3,500, and the P2,850 in cash, including the marked money.
