FILIPINO-CHINESE celebrities did not miss out on celebrating this year’s Chinese New Year.

These celebrities shared a glimpse of their celebration through their Instagram accounts.

Liz Uy, a well-known celebrity stylist, posted a photo of her toddler Xavi wearing a pair of red Chinese costume, which made him look like a cute Kung Fu master.

On the same post, Uy along with her family posed for a photo where all of them wore the Chinese lucky color red.

Gretchen Ho, television host and former Ateneo University Lady Eagles volleyball varsity, shared in a series of posts her Chinese New Year experience. In one of her posts, she greeted her followers in three different Chinese languages.

"Xin nian kuai le; Gong xi fa cai; Kiong hee huat tsai (hokkien); Kung hei fat choi (cantonese)," she wrote.

Also, Gretchen did not miss the opportunity to wish her Instagram followers good luck this 2019.

"Whichever greeting you use, I wish you good fortune, true joy, lasting fulfillment, guiding wisdom & real love in the #YearofthePig. Of course, a bonus prayer in the next photo. Swipe left. Happy Chinese New Year!#CNY2019," she wrote.

Kim Chiu, also greeted her fans a Happy New Year.

"Kung Hei Fat Choi!" the Cebuana actress wrote.

"Happy Year of the Pig wishing everyone a prosperous year ahead!" she added.

The actress celebrated the Chinese New Year with her family as seen on her latest Instagram post.

In the photos, they lighted some sparklers and they had a fireworks display, which is one of the traditions of the Chinese that serves to scare away evil spirits.

Just like Grechen, Kim wished her fans a good luck and a joyful 2019.

"May this year bring us courage and wisdom and may we explore every joy of life! Happy Chinese New Year everyone!" she wrote. (Joyce Villaflor, SunStar Philippines)
