Kapampangan businessman launches online academy

FROM a struggling kid who started selling ice candy at the age of seven to help provide for the family, Joliber Mapiles was able to rise from poverty and is now hailed as one of the youngest Kapampangan entrepreneurs in the province.

Armed with faith, dreams, willingness to succeed and his “never give up” mantra, Mapiles crawled his way up to become the successful real estate developer, investor and online entrepreneur he is today.

This is the same mindset Mapiles wants to instill in the minds of individuals who want to achieve more and have stable lives, thus his putting up of the Joliber Mapiles Academy (JMA).

The JMA is an online educational platform that aims to teach people the effective and efficient way of earning money through entrepreneurship by solving the gap between the traditional education system and the actual needs of the industries.

“The academy will serve as the bridge of the conventional education system to the actual professional industry by showing what should be expected by students as they become part of the workforce,” Mapiles said.

Unlike other online institutions which offers livelihood, Mapiles said that JMA is focused on educating individuals on how to start and grow their own businesses based on the mentors’ personal experiences while climbing up the ladder.

“Our primary vision is to help people use and apply the skills and learnings they got from the traditional school for their own development. It doesn’t matter what industry they wanted to join because businesses have the same foundation, that is your willingness to learn and grow, and to never give up on your dreams,” he said.

Mapiles, who will serve as JMA’s mentor for entrepreneur, will be joined by a pool of individuals who will be sharing their experiences in the hope of inspiring people to strive better in their lives.

Fitness and Nutrition mentor Mike Jimeno will be coaching fitness awareness master classes in an aim to grow a fitness community towards achieving true health success using the right approach.

Young entrepreneur AR Pangilinan, a single mom who reached her first million at the age of 21, will be handling the Millionaire at 21 course containing seven powerful lessons aimed at helping people, especially millennials, to rise up amid broken relationships and early life failures.

Kristine Tamanio, a licensed teacher majoring in Mathematics, will be handling math courses which are deemed vital for the sustainment of the one’s business.

Hazel Reyes will handle JMA’s Personal Skincare Beauty Guide course which aims to provide tips on how to properly present themselves to the public, particularly on personal appearances.

Also part of the group are Nikki Nunag and Eli Opena who will be handling social media branding and sales and marketing courses, respectively.
