AN ESTIMATED P632,000 worth of illegal drugs was seized in three areas in Negros Occidental and Bacolod City on Monday and Tuesday, February 4 to 5.
In Bacolod City, Liza Salmingo, 38, of Barangay Vista Alegre; Cheryl Delfin, 34, of Barangay Handumanan; and Cliff Richard Ocana, 24, of Barangay 1 were arrested in a buy-bust operation in Barangay Tangub on Tuesday.
Police recovered 18 sachets of suspected shabu (methamphetamine hydrochloride) weighing 50 grams worth P350,000, the P1,000 marked money, drug paraphernalia, and P2,000 in cash.
All three suspects are detained at Police Station 8.
Also arrested on Tuesday in the said city was Mateo Alarcon of Barangay 1 after police recovered from him seven sachets of suspected shabu weighing 2.5 grams worth P30,000, the P500 marked money, and coin purse. He is detained at Police Station 2.
In Silay City, Raffy Gonzaga, 41, of Barangay Mambulac was collared after police raided his house through a search warrant on Tuesday. He is under the target list of Silay City Police Station.
Police confiscated from him 22 sachets of suspected shabu amounting to P240,000, drug paraphernalia, cellular phone, coin purses, unidentified live ammunition, and a fired bullet of .45 caliber.
In Kabankalan City, police seized during the buy-bust operation on Monday, seven sachets of suspected shabu worth P12,000, drug paraphernalia, and the P1,000 marked money.
Target subject Ron Reyes, 44, of the said village, a level two high-value target was able to escape during the operation. (GYM)
