Public asked to identify bullet-riddled body found in Samar

POLICE have asked the public to identify a bullet-riddled body of a man found in Pinabacdao, Samar on Wednesday morning, February 6.

Pinabacdao Municipal Police Station led by Senior Police Officer Kenneth Valley said the body was reported by Kagawad Catherine Sablawon of Barangay Madalunot.

The still unidentified victim was wearing a gray jacket and short striped pants.

An informant told the police that he heard a burst of gunfire from a distance, more or less 200 meters away from him, around 7:20 p.m. of February 5.

“Then and there, he saw a pick-up vehicle and a single motorcycle coming from the crime scene and sped off towards north direction,” the police said in a statement.

At least five fired cartridges of caliber .45 and one live ammunition of the same firearm were recovered from the crime scene.
