Three most wanted collared in Abra, Tabuk

CAMP MAJOR BADO DANGWA -- Police arrested three most wanted individuals in a two day operation on February 4 and 5 in two provinces of the Cordillera region.

Tracker team of Tabuk City Municipal Police Station (MPS) in Kalinga arrested the seventh top most wanted person for the first quarter of 2019 identified as Brenhol Basungit Lasang, 23, married, and a resident of Amlao, Mabato, Tabuk City on February 4 at 10:05 p.m. by virtue of a warrant for violation of the comprehensive firearms and ammunition regulation act and a bail bond of P100,000.

In Abra, operatives from the Villaviciosa Municipal Police Station (MPS), Bangued MPS, Provincial Mobile Force Company (PMFC) of Abra Police Provincial Office (Abra PPO) and Criminal Investigation and Detection Group – Abra (CIDG-Abra) arrested Jedrick Ocawe Gona and Jeiel Adaro Persona in separate operations.

Gona was arrested February 5 in Apapaya, Villiviciosa, Abra by joint personnel of Villaviciosa MPS and CIDG -Abra by virtue of a warrant issued for attempted rape with recommended bail of P180,000 while Persona was arrested in the afternoon of February 4 in Santiago Street, Zone 4, Bangued by the personnel of Bangued MPS and PMFC of Abra PPO by virtue of a warrant for statutory rape by sexual assault and a bail bond of P200,000.

Chief Superintendent Rolando Zambale Nana, regional director of the Police Regional Office-Cordillera (PROCOR) lauded the members of the tracker team of each MPS for the arrest of said wanted persons and encouraged all police personnel of PROCOR to enhance coordination with local and foreign counter parts for possible arrest of other lawless elements.
