A LOVE for life has been captured through the lens of an artist.

Randy J. Nimer (Miner Ranz) displays a collection of 23 works depicting everyday life from the perspective of his lens culled from travels comprised of portraits and landscapes in a one man show dubbed as “Miner’s View: A Photo Exhibit by Miner Ranz.”

A member of the Tam-Awan Village Artists (TVA), Miner Ranz is a self-taught artist since his schools days, traveling to capture moments, keen on shots which evoke emotion, the beauty of nature, the simplicity of everyday life, the quiet beauty of locals and grandeur of heritage and culture.

Set at the Tam–Awan Ugnayan Gallery, Miner Ranz’s collection evokes scenes from places he has visited, faces of people he has connected with and scenes from everyday life he has captured with the mission to “Make ordinary moments extraordinary and to capture moments before it is gone forever.”

The artist started photography at the Philex Mining Corporation where his late father worked and which sparked his love for art at the village he grew up in.

Improving his craft in Baguio City, Nimer joined the Tam –Awan Village Artist group and has become a resident artist since.

The exhibit runs from February 9 to March 8, 2019.
