TO USHER in the Year of the Earth Pig, the Royal Mandaya Hotel celebrated the Chinese New Year on February 5, 2019.

The hotel prepared a festive celebration with performances and delicious food. At the lobby of the hotel, the Sinagila Dance Artist performed a traditional Chinese dance for the guests.

Minutes later, the celebration kicked-off with a lion dance by the Kim Ling Kungfu Lion-Dragon Dance Troupe. The Lion dancers did not only perform at the lobby but also visited the newly opened Kanato Bar.

Guests were then ushered to the hotel’s restaurant, Kamayo, for a celebratory feast. The restaurant was offering a four plus one dinner promo for the Chinese New Year Celebration. Traditional Chinese dishes were prepared for diners. Tikoy and hopia cubes were also on display to the joy of the guests.

A Little Chinatown was also placed by the hotel at the lobby where guests can know about their fortune for this year. Mystique Angels, a group of card readers, were also there for interested guests who want to have a glimpse of what the year will be for them. Guests can also write down their wishes for the year and post it at the fortune wall.

Another highlight of the night was when the hotel gave out fortune cookies, five of which contain special prizes. Two lucky diners won an overnight stay at a Superior room while three won a lunch or dinner for two at Kamayo Cafe.

It was indeed a fun and tummy filling night during the celebration of the Chinese New Year at the Royal Mandaya Hotel.
