Wacky Tech

5G vs LTE

MWC 2019 (formerly Mobile World Congress) is just around the corner. The talk of the town lately has been 5G. Companies in the mobile technology world have been racing to be the first one to implement a full system for 5G. AT&T, a mobile carrier in the US, has even started “branding” their network as “5G E” and I don’t know exactly what that means. And because of that, they’re being sued for it.

So what is 5G? I recommend reading through Digital Trends’ article about it. The explanations are brief and easily understandable.

In the end, I agree with the article’s parting words:

"Ultimately, 5G networks will complement 4G and LTE coverage and the two will work together to ensure that we get a fast connection wherever we happen to be."

IG worthy poses

No, I’m not going to give you a PDF that you can print out. Instead, I’ll refer you to an app. I found out about this via a post on PetaPixel. PetaPixel is a photography site that I regularly visit for anything about photography.

Anyway, about the app. According to the article, it’s a "Korean app called SOVS2 (which stands for “SomeOne Very Special”)." It’s only available on the App Store so you’ll have to team up with someone using an iOS device if you’re on Android.

It’s a fun app. And if you’re asking someone to take a photo of you alone or you and your significant other, the app guides whoever the photographer is how to pose you or the two of you. This, I think, will definitely come in handy during your travels when you want to Insta everything.

Which Macbook?

I know, there are so many other Windows based laptops out there that can equal or surpass any Macbook or Macbook Pro. But let’s face it, a Macbook is a Macbook is a Macbook. And as Apple’s been refreshing the line since last year, it’s probably gotten a bit confusing for any one of you to pick one.

Wired has an article for you. They have a list of what to get based on how they found each specific Macbook model to be. It would be good if you check out the article first before heading out to visit your nearest Apple store.

Extra, extra!
