THE 384 Caraga police officers deployed to secure the Bangsamoro Organic Law (BOL) plebiscite were accorded a heroes’ welcome upon their arrival at the headquarters of the Police Regional Office in Caraga (PRO 13) over the weekend.

Chief Superintendent Gilberto DC Cruz, PRO13 director, awarded the 372 police non-commissioned officers and 12 commissioned officers with the Medalya Ng Kagalingan (PNP Medal of Merit) and were given a one-week break as reward for their contribution to efforts to ensure a peaceful plebiscite in Lanao del Norte.

Police Superintendent Ian John Rosales, commander of the 2nd Company of Agusan del Norte Provincial Mobile Force, led the seven-day deployment of PRO 13 contingents.

“We are honored and proud that in the historic BOL plebiscite, there were PRO 13 personnel who secured the line and contributed in the conduct of successful election,” Cruz said.
