Tell it to SunStar: Who to blame?

THE blame should be put on the Department of Health for not vaccinating all children before schools starts. Here in the Philippines, everyone wants to be in the limelight and get credit for every little things that he or she does. No one seems to want to take the blame for anything, but the blame should be put on the DOH for their lack of planning and also the Department of Education for not making it a must before any child can attend school.

In other countries measles, chicken pox and polio are three vaccinations that are mandatory before school starts. They don’t wait for an epidemic to start before action is taken. The Philippine Government collects the most taxes in all Asia and employs the most people and why in the world can’t we even copy other countries to do a simple thing of vaccinating our young? Especially measles, which should be controlled because it can cause deformities in unborn children.--ALFRED ACOPAN
