2 ‘big-time’ pushers arrested with over P500,000 shabu

POLICE have arrested two alleged big-time drug pushers and seized around P514,000 worth of illegall drugs in separate drug busts in Zamboanga City.

Arrested were Alhabir Laja, 34 and Abdelrafi Sakili, 28, of Calarian and Putik villages, respectively, according to Senior Inspector Shellamie Chang, information officer of the Zamboanga City Police Office (ZCPO).

Chang said Laja was caught in possession of some P314,000 worth of suspected methamphetamine hydrochloride (shabu) when he was arrested by operatives of the Police Station 9 in a drug bust around 10:45 a.m. Monday, February 11, in Zone 1.

Also confiscated from Laja were P500 marked money consisting of five

P100 bills and P40,000 boodle money.

Sakili, on the other hand, yielded some P200,000 worth of shabu packed in nine heat-sealed plastic sachets and P200 marked money.

He was arrested by the personnel of the Police Station 6 in a drug bust around 12:10 a.m. Tuesday, February 12, at a hotel along Governor Camins Avenue in Canelar.
