LAPU-Lapu City’s traffic managers will implement a rerouting scheme across the city from Friday, Feb. 15, until Sunday, Feb. 17.
The rerouting scheme aims to avert a possible gridlock as Barangay Mactan celebrates its annual fiesta in honor of the Sto. Niño.Mario Napole, City Traffic Management System head, said starting on Friday, they will not allow jeepneys to enter the road leading to the Sto. Niño Parish church in Barangay Mactan because of the foot and seaborne processions.
Napole advised motorists and commuters to follow the rerouting scheme that they will implement.
They have yet to finalize the traffic plan due to the ongoing repair on the Angasil Access Road, which was earlier identified as one of the diversion roads. (From GCM of SuperBalita Cebu, JKV)
