11-hour power interruption to hit Pampanga villages

NINETEEN villages in Pampanga will be affected by a day-long power interruption scheduled for Saturday, February 16, the Pampanga III Electric Cooperative (Pelco-3) announced.

In the latest advisory released by Pelco-3, there will be no electricity from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday to give way to some maintenance activities to ensure continuous supply of electricity to consumers.

This will include the conduct of preventive maintenance of power transformers and trimming of excess lines as well as trees near electric poles and towers, the advisory disclosed.

Among the affected in the scheduled power interruption are the 12 barangays of Apalit namely Balucuc, Calantipe, Cansinala, Capalangan, Colgante, Paligui, Sampaloc, San Juan, San Vicente, Sucad, Sulipan and Tabuyuc.

Likewise, barangays Telacsan, Tacasan, Saplad David, San Gabriel, Nabong Danga and part of San Isidro in Macabebe, and Sitio Tulaoc, Barangay San Agustin in San Simon will also experience power interruption.

The Pelco-3 management asks for the understanding of its consumers for the said activity which is needed to ensure delivery of better service in the community.

The Pelco-3 management also asked its consumers to prepare for the scheduled power interruption by charging their gadgets and necessary home appliances in lieu of the said power interruption.
