AJ GALENDEZ and Kert Palces combined forces to clinch the first Datba Doubles Tournament title at the SM Lanang Premier Bowling Center in Davao City Tuesday evening, February 12.
Galendez-Palces rolled a total of 1,184 pinfalls after three games in the meet organized by the Davao Tenpin Bowlers Association (Datba).
The champion pair received a cash prize of P1,800 and shirts while the runner-up went home wtih P1,200.
The tandem of Jesrael Rule and Manuel Nierra II placed second after hitting 1,161 pinfalls in the bowlfest that drew a total of 10 pairs.
Gab Velasco and Billy Magdale garnered 1,136 for third place.
The Datba weekly tournament, meawhile, will resume on Saturday. It serves a qualifying for the monthly finals that offers bigger cash prizes.
