Bacolod police awards 4 police stations, personnel

THE Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) awarded four top performing police stations in the city and some personnel for their commendable performance against illegal activities and criminalities for the month of January.

The awarding rites was led by Senior Superintendent Henry Biñas, officer-in-charge of BCPO, during the flag ceremony on Monday, February 11.

Police Station 1 headed by Chief Inspector Jovil Sedel topped the campaign against wanted persons.

Police Station 3 headed by Chief Inspector Ruel Culanag was recognized for their accomplishment on anti-illegal drugs.

Awarded for their accomplishment on loose firearms was Police Station 7 headed by Chief Inspector Sherlock Gabana.

Also awarded for the campaign against illegal gambling was Police Station 9 headed by Chief Inspector Jun Ray Batadlan.

Meanwhile, Senior Inspector Romulo Gepilango of Police Station 5, and Senior Police Officer 2 Juliebert Dalumpines of Police Station 7 were commended for the successful conduct of buy-bust operations in their respective areas.

Biñas also recognized the accredited members of force multipliers in Bacolod, who rendered duty and helped in the maintenance of peace and order during this year's Bacolaodiat Festival.

In his message, Biñas expressed his satisfaction and gratitude to the awardees for their continued effort to make Bacolod City a safe place to live.

He also encouraged the personnel to do more and continue their mandated task in achieving a peaceful and orderly community safe from illegal drugs and other forms of criminality. (Christopher D. Yanson, CHMSC-Talisay intern)
