3 nabbed, P130K ‘shabu’ seized

THREE people were arrested while some P130,000 worth of suspected shabu were seized in anti-drug operations Wednesday, February 14, in Sta. Maria, Zamboanga City.

Senior Inspector Shellamie Chang, Zamboanga City Police Office (ZCPO), identified the suspects as Gajir Majindi, Abdul-Sharip Handi, and Parson Asdali.

Chang said Majindi was arrested in a drug bust around 9:30 a.m. Wednesday along Governor Ramos Avenue in Sta. Maria village.

Confiscated from Majindi’s possession were some P130,000 worth of suspected methamphetamine hydrochloride commonly known as shabu packed in three large size heat-sealed plastic sachets and P300 marked money consisting of three P100 bills.

Chang said Handi and Asdali were caught in possession of some P800 worth of suspected shabu packed in four heat-sealed plastic sachets when they were arrested in a drug bust around 5:20 p.m. on the same day, at Purok-5 Recodo village.

Confiscated were P200 marked money comprising of two P100 bills.

She said the suspects were detained while appropriate charges are set to be filed against them. (SunStar Philippines)
