WHETHER you love them or hate them, liquid lipsticks are here to stay. I’ve tried several formulas and I can understand why some people hate them: Many are drying, look different on the lips compared to the tube, are either impossible to remove, or disappear after an hour. Mark by Avon recently introduced a line of Liquid Lip Lacquers; these, I love! Here’s why:
1. Super wearable. There’s no hint of dryness while wearing these. They apply very smooth and buttery. These have primer formulated in them, so even if you choose a super bright or dark color, they will not travel outside your lips. The applicator makes it easy to swipe on a clean line. The longevity varies per shade, but on me, these last between four to eight hours. The shade Man Eater survived on my Sinulog Sunday! These are also not difficult to wash off, compared to many liquid lipsticks that refuse to come off unless you use an oil-based remover.
2. Super pigmented. The Shine finish comes in nine colors, and the Matte in 12. I have not been able to try all 21 yet, but after trying several colors in both finishes, I was glad to see they all deliver the same true color payoff in one coat. What I see in the tube is exactly what I get on my lips. The shades come in classic and trendy nudes, pinks, browns, purples, and reds, and one fun red-orange that is surprisingly wearable.
3. Super handy. These babies come in compact tubes, but don’t let the small size fool you as they hold a generous 7ml of product. In comparison, Colourpop liquid lipstick tubes are twice as long, but hold just a little over 3ml of product.
