THE Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) in Negros Occidental-North has distributed certificates of land ownership award (Cloas) and installed 63 agrarian reform beneficiaries (ARBs) in Cadiz City.

The agency distributed titles covering almost 58-hectare landholdings previously owned by Honey Lopez Panganiban in Barangay Jerusalem on February 7 and installed the farmer-beneficiaries on Wednesday, February 13.

Municipal Agrarian Reform Program Officer Antonida Yulo, who spoke at the distribution rites, told farmers of their rights and obligations as new owners of the land covered under the Comprehensive Agrarian Reform Program (Carp).

Barangay Kagawad Ariel De Erit, for his part, urged unity and harmony among the ARBs.

“They should make the awarded lands productive for the betterment of themselves and their families,” he added.

Aside the farmer-beneficiaries, the distribution and installation rites were also attended by barangay officials and personnel of DAR Municipal Office.
