TWO members of the Philippine National Police (PNP) from Northern Samar and one other suspect were arrested in Barangay Macabug, Ormoc City on Friday, February 15, due to alleged illegal drug activity.
Ormoc police and anti-drug operatives identified the two cops as Police Officer 1 Ronelo Felizarta, 36, assigned at San Vicente Municipal Police Station and Police Officer 1 Pelboy Lopez, 31, of the Northern Samar Police Mobile Force Company.
Also arrested was Ricsan Sale, 29, and a resident of Barangay Macabug, Ormoc Cit.
Sale was on a drug watchlist as street-level target, police said.
Confiscated items from the suspects during the drug bust include four heat- sealed plastic sachets containing suspected methamphetamine hydrochloride, locally known as “shabu,” two cellphones, P500 marked money, PNP-issued Glock 17 Gen 4 cal 9mm with serial no. 71736, and drug paraphernalia, among others.
Various charges are readied against the suspects. (SunStar Philippines)
