THE Ateneo de Davao University captured four titles while the Sakya Football Club bagged two of its own in the 1st Sakya Fil-Chinese Football Festival at the Tionko grounds Saturday.

Ateneo ruled the six years old event over Sakya A FC and Our Lady of Lourdes Elementary School of M. Fortich, Bukidnon. Sakya and Our Lady of Lourdes placed second and third, respectively.

Ateneo also topped the boys 12 category at the expense of Don Marcelino of Davao del Sur in the tournament held in cooperation with the Fookienmerchant General Chamber of Commerce of the Philippines, Davao Chapter.

Ateneo also emerged champions in the boys 16 while the Philippine Women's College (PWC) placed second and Emar Learning Center (ELC) third even as Ateneo High bested Catalunan Grande and Ateneo Elementary for the boys 14 crown.

The Sakya FC clinched the boys and girls 10 crowns. The Malita and Don Marcelino teams took the next two spots of the boys' side while Don Marcelino and OLLES finished second and third in the girl’s event.

OLLES, meanwhile, went home with the mixed eight title over Sakya and Don Marcelino.

The Holy Child School of Davao (HCSD) got a piece of glory by copping the girls 12 title over Ateneo and Don Marcelino.

A total of 57 teams joined the tournament organized by the Davao Football Association and sponspored by the Sakya FC, Designers Avenue, PASTA and PAS Board of Trustees. The eent was also held with assistance of UP Mindanao students.
