THE Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) is launching “Tax Campaign 2010” in Zamboanga City, a revenue bureau official said Tuesday.

Bucoy said there will be a motorcade passing through the main thoroughfare of the city aimed to create public awareness before the program launching.

Bucoy said he will announce the agency's program for Zamboanga City during the launching of the tax campaign.

He earlier announced that his office will intensify the tax mapping campaign in the city.

The tax mapping is aimed to determine who the new stakeholders of BIR are, as well as to know the right amount of taxes to be collected. (Bong Garcia)
