BUSINESSMAN Sonny Dimaano and Edwin Gasparil combined for a total of 1,600 pinfalls to emerge champion in the Datba Valentine's Open Tournament at the NCCC Mall B3 Center lanes over the weekend.
Dimaano and Gasparil received a cash prize of P1,200 in the event organized by the Davao Tenpin Bowlers Association (Datba).
Placing second was the father-and-son pair of Ronald and Lee Martin, who hit 1,596 pinfalls while Ray Snyder and Paul Rabe rolloed 1,580 for third place. The two tandems went home with P900 and P700, respectively.
Stella Lega and Archie Cornesta garnered 1,577 in fourth while Manny and Moi Nierra amassed 1,577 to settle for fifth.
Datba is being led by dynamic Dr. Virgilio "Billy" Magdale, an optometrist by profession. (MLSA)
