2 arrested, P1.4M shabu seized in Agusan drug bust

POLICE confiscated on Wednesday, February 13, a total of P1.4 million worth of shabu and arrested two drug personalities.

Chief Superintendent Gilberto DC Cruz, Police Regional Office Caraga director, said the operation stemmed from a report they received that selling of illegal drugs was rampant in Purok-4, Brgy. 5, San Francisco, Agusan del Sur.

Personnel of San Francisco Municipal Police Station then responded and arrested the suspects identified as Sammy Noron, 36 of Purok 2, Jambulan, Monkayo, Compostela Valley and Marissa Monte, 27 of Purok-5A, Magatos, Asuncion, (Saug) Davao Del Norte.

They were listed as newly-identified street level target-pusher.

Police recovered six sachets of shabu weighing 120 grams worth P1.416 million, drug paraphernalia, and a caliber .45 pistol with six rounds of ammunition.

Cruz lauded the cooperation of the local populace in the anti-illegal drug campaign and ensured that the long arm of the law will capture those individuals engaged in illegal drug trade.
