THE police will not allow minors to join the disco party that will be held during the fiesta celebration of Barangay Mactan, Lapu-Lapu City on Saturday night, Feb. 16.
Mactan Police Station Chief Miguel Andeza said they are doing this to prevent minors from getting involved in any trouble that might occur during the event since many have been reported to be members of gangs that are causing trouble in the area.
Andeza will deploy 30 personnel to secure the event and the City Mobile Force Company and Special Weapons and Tactics teams if needed. He added that they will strictly implement the 11 p.m. curfew for minors on that day.
Anyone found violating the curfew ordinance will be taken to the police’s custody for safekeeping. (from GCM of Superbalita Cebu, KAL)
