FOOD entrepreneur, Constantine “Stan” Tanchan is expanding his food business.

For this year, he is eyeing to open two more branches of Choobi-Choobi Restaurant in Oslob and Talisay City. He is also planning to open two more branches of Kogi-Q.

Over the weekend, on Saturday, Feb. 16, Tanchan unveiled his latest restaurant brand named Angus Dan’s located at Jasmine St. corner Orchid St. in Capitol site.

Angus Dan’s is an upscale New York City-inspired steak and seafood house serves creative fusion salads and appetizers, while serving traditionally grilled steaks and seafood with a modern twist.

Tanchan named this latest venture after his one-year-old eldest son, Dan.

He is confident this new food concept will earn Cebuano’s praise as they remain committed to providing good food at cheaper price.

“We didn’t put much margin in the hope that people will come and we can recover the overhead (costs) through the volume,” he said.

Tanchan also believes Cebuanos are ready to welcome new food concepts on the back of Cebu’s stellar economic growth which led to the rise in spending power and interests of people to travel.

“I think the market is ready (for this kind of dining),” said Tanchan.

Angus Dan’s signature steak is the garlic steak, a 200 grams of US tenderloin. They also offer premium steaks—USDA choice Angus Ribeye, USDA choice Porterhouse steak and grilled Angus short ribs.

The restaurant also serves a good variety of seafood such as the grilled swordfish belly, scallops, shrimps and lobsters among others.
