CEBUANOS will no longer have difficulty looking for areas on where they could store their prized possessions.

This as the Cokaliong siblings are setting up Cebu’s first self storage facility on Sacris Road, Barangay Cabancalan, Mandaue City.

Named StorageTown, this three-level self storage facility sits on 4,692 square meters property. It commenced construction on Monday, February 19, and will be operational in November 2019.

StorageTown offers 10,000 square meters of leasable space with a monthly rental rate for as low as P1,000.

Chase Cokaliong, president of StorageTown Inc., believes this is the answer to Metro Cebu’s rapid urbanization.

“Space is becoming a premium, and we hope to address that need by providing storage that’s secure and convenient for our customers,” he said.

Cokaliong is joined by his siblings Chesna, Chanel and Chaz in running this new venture.

The company invested some P250 million, including land acquisition to build the facility.

StorageTown Inc.’s smallest unit is a two-square-meter space that can fit around eight balikbayan boxes, while the biggest is a 90-square-meter space that would cost an estimate of P45,000 rental per month.

This huge space can be used by companies or individuals to store their files, equipment, business inventories or other household items.

The facility only accepts non-perishable, non-flammable and legal items for storage.

Clients can access their units at any time of the day.

StorageTown is also equipped with a sophisticated security system that ensures any items stored in the facility will be safe.

Cokaliong said there would be over 100 close-circuit TV cameras, pin code and RFID access, as well as 24/7 onsite security.

Text alerts will be sent to clients every time their units are accessed. The building is also fire-protected.
