LTFRB issues bus fare matrix for peak hours

THE Davao regional office of the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB 11) issued Tuesday, February 19, the Peak Hours Augmentation Bus Service (PHABS) fare matrix ahead of its operation Wednesday, February 20.

The LTFRB regional office said the Catalunan Grande-Roxas Avenue route will start at Elenita Heights and it will end on Roxas Avenue. The regular fare will be P33.25 while the discounted fare will be P26.75. From Roxas Avenue to Elenita Heights will be P32.25 while the discounted fare will be P25.75.

The Toril to Roxas Avenue route will start at Toril District Hall and will end at Roxas Avenue. The regular fare will be P33.75 while the discounted fare will be P27.

Based on the fare computation, minimum fare or the first five kilometers will be P10; if discounted, it will be P8. The next succeeding beyond five kilometers will P2.20, if discounted it will be P1.76.

Operators who will not display the fare matrix will be fined P5,000. Overcharging or undercharging of the fares will be fined P5,000.

LTFRB 11 Regional Director Cattleya Acaylar said that seven buses will be deployed Wednesday. Three units will be deployed for the Catalunan Grande route while four units will be deployed for the Toril Route.
